Anagha Shenoy

I am a software engineer in the Satija Lab at the New York Genome Center (NYGC), where I help lead the maintenance and development of new features for Seurat and other single-cell genomics software.

I graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in December 2024 with a B.S. in computer science and minors in integrative biology and informatics.

As an undergraduate, I studied agent-based modeling to capture the dynamics of multicellular systems in the Heiser Lab (Summer 2024) and microbiome bioinformatics to address challenges in low-biomass microbiome analysis in the Karstens Lab (Summer 2022, Summer 2023, Spring 2024).

Throughout my experience, I’ve focused on building software that enables the analysis and interpretation of complex, layered data for biomedical research.
